Behind the scenes of a men’s photo shoot
Lori Loftis is a professional and an artist when it comes to her work. She is magic when it comes to behind the scenes styling. She answered a few questions related to a recent men’s fashion shoot that showcases where some of her inspiration comes from and her thought processes behind the scenes.
What was the motivation behind the men's fashion photo shoot?
“I wanted to focus on menswear to reflect a personal "style”. To paraphrase Coco Channel; "Fashion trends come and go, but style lasts forever.”
Your style is a personal reflection of what makes you, you! In this case Tim is a business man/realtor/barrel racing cowboy. Jason is a self-employed entrepreneur/barrel racing cowboy. Their personal stories were told through their style.”
What was your favorite concept to style?
“I really do not have one favorite concept to style.
Although, a classic style with a unique twist or accessory is smokin’ hot! I love me some Coco Channel, Christian Dior and Carolina Herrera. They are the perfect package of classic style wrapped with a beautiful bow.
You can add a boyfriend watch to a Channel jacket or a wide plaid belt & pearls to a classic long line black taffeta skirt with white, french cuff blouse. Blending classics with your style is always fun!”
What is the meaning behind the creative yoga pose photo?
“The meaning behind the yoga pose in casual work attire: It’s about finding peace and balance in all aspect of work and home life.
Being a small business owner is great fun, but it is also very hard work with unpredictable hours. To help achieve a peaceful and centered life, doing a 5 minute meditation reboot is a must!”
Bridal headpieces are a beautiful wedding day touch.
There is something about bridal headpieces, they can be subtle in their own way and romantic at the same time, so don’t forget to accessorize and complete your look for your wedding reception with a unique headpiece!
Will you be wearing a headpiece on your big day?
Before you say “I can’t do this anymore”, consider this practical and smart move: having two pairs of shoes on your wedding day!
Using your statement and pretty not-so-comfortable heels for the ceremony and photos is a great idea, but keeping them later than that definitely isn’t.
